Clay for kids


We have another in school event coming up on November 8 clay for kids. We will be using our knowledge of Alberta's Natural regions to create an artistic representation of this province.  There are helpful links on the resource page to help prepare and refresh their knowledge, start conversations and gain ideas. We also require some volunteers to assist in the morning of November 8th.

What Is A Lever? A  lever  is a simple  machine  consisting of a bar that rotates around a fixed point. The fixed point of a lever is called the fulcrum. Like other machines, a lever makes work easier by changing the force applied to the machine or the  distance  over which the force is applied. Classes of Levers Other levers change force or  distance  in different ways than a hammer removing a nail. Math challenge

There are 78 people going on a field trip to the zoo. They need to drive in cars to get there.  If each car holds 6 people, how many cars are needed to take all the visitors to the zoo? 1. Use numbers to represent your thinking. (Show the equation and workings) 2. Words to represent your thinking. (Write your answer in sentence form) 3.
