Hello everyone
I hope everyone made the most of their spring break and had some time to enjoy the company of your family. I wish I could give you more information but I'm still waiting to hear the latest about how we will be moving forward in regards to education and curriculum material. I will try keep you all updated as best as possible via this blog and I might be putting some school assignments on here for the students to be able to do at home. Remember to get outside and go for a walk or run to keep fit and healthy in both body and mind. The weather is starting to improve so start taking notice outside of the new plants and growth changes over the next month.
Well done for those of you who have been using Raz-Kids, Prodigy and Epic! these resources are the best way to keep your mind to continue to develop and grow!
If you have created or have anything you would like to share with me in google drive share it with tadunlop@educbe.ca and I'll get to see it. I have already seen some great building and attempts towards an arcade game using our simple machine knowledge and these videos and pictures have been very welcome!
If you have a deck of cards at home challenge your family to a game of unicorn.
The game needs 3 players. 2 players pick up a card without looking at it and hold it on their forehead. The third player is the judge their role is to look at both of the cards, multiply the numbers in their head and say the answer. The other two players use the answer and the number on their opponents head to try be the first to solve what their number is. First to 5 wins! Have fun...
We would have be beginning division in class so if possible you should practice these skills as much as possible. The game above helps with this!
Another activity enjoyed when learning multiplication and can also be used when learning division and even refreshing subtraction skills is by doing some pixel art from the website: https://www.coloringsquared.com/
