Mr Dunlop's Class

In class we currently have a Museo kit (Artifacts) from the Glenbow museum. We are looking at the lives of our first nation peoples who lived in Alberta. We are discovering the different ways they were able to use their environment and live off the land for thousands of years. We are beginning to see the impact of the fur trade and early settlement and how that impacted the blackfoot way of life. Alien inline skating will be back at Copperfield in January.  We hope all students can enjoy this experience (safely in our gym). To do this however a waiver must be returned to me to participate. (Sorry)  Click here for waiver

As grade four parents I am sure you have a set routine already however I have been asked to share this information with you anyway. Due to legality; Tobogganing, tubing, crazy carpet, bobsledding and sledding are prohibited on CBE Property. Also, supervision begins at 8:05am and parents do not need to remain with their children until the bell rings.  Supervisors will remain with students. We have had some great discussions in class and have been showing improved focus and effort this past week, hopefully we can continue this for the rest of the year. We are currently working on an in depth assignment to finish off our waste in out world unit, We are studying the Niitsitapi museo kit in social studies, Beginning multiplication in math as well as learning about perimeter and area. We have also just began dance in gym.
